Submersible electric pump
A type of water pump in which both the impeller of the pump body and the motor driving the impeller are submerged in water for operation. There are two types of water pumps: deep well and working face. The submersible electric pump used in deep wells supplies power to the motor through a cable inserted into the well, eliminating the need for a long shaft transmission. Therefore, it has a compact structure, light weight, and is easy to install, use, and transfer. There is a trend to replace long shaft deep well pumps in areas with power supply, but it is not suitable for water wells with high sediment content and areas without power supply.
The electric motors used in submersible pumps include dry type (all motors are sealed), semi dry type (the stator of the motor is sealed, and the rotor operates in water), oil filled type (the motor is filled with oil to prevent water from entering the winding), and wet type (the motor is filled with water, and both the stator and rotor operate in water). The first three types require sealing and high manufacturing and installation accuracy requirements, so agricultural deep well submersible pumps usually use wet motors. The stator winding is made of water-resistant insulated wires or synthetic resin is poured at the end and slot of the stator winding. The impact of water entering the motor is not significant, and the sealing structure can be greatly simplified, only requiring sand prevention.
Some deep well submersible electric pumps have a lift of up to 1400 meters and a flow rate of 1.4 cubic meters per second.
