Frequently Asked Question

What should be noted when installing submersible pumps

Word:[Big][Middle][Small] QR Code 2024/2/5     Viewed:
1. Acceptance of deep well submersible pumps: Users should carefully inspect the cable sheath for any damage when picking up goods from the logistics company. Check if the water pump is broken.

2. Loading and unloading: Be careful when loading and unloading the vehicle to avoid damaging the concentricity of the unit or damaging the cable insulation.

3. Inspection steps for the entire unit before going into the well: A. Disassemble the filter screen, use a pry bar to move the coupling, which should rotate flexibly. B. Place the electric pump vertically, fill it with clean water, connect the cable joint, soak the joint in a water basin, and shake the joint to ground resistance (insulation resistance of the single finger joint to water). The value should not be less than 500 megaohms. C. Place the water pump upright and use a suitable container to add laundry detergent water to the outlet of the pump. At the same time, slightly press the motor start button to carefully observe the direction of the pump. The time should not exceed 2 seconds, and make a continuous mark.

4. Steps for on-site assembly during separate transportation of water pumps: A. Before installation, place the motor vertically, open the drain hole and water injection hole, and make sure to open both water plugs. Fill up with clean water and tighten the water injection and drain plugs. Observe whether the motor has any water leakage. If there is any water leakage, do not go down the well. The reason may be due to collision during transportation. Contact the agent or manufacturer in a timely manner to negotiate and solve the problem, Until there is no leakage (observe for 10-15 minutes). Then shake the insulation resistance of the motor, and its value should not be less than 50 megaohms. B. Wrap the cable joint and test the direction of the motor after wrapping it. Check if the direction of the motor is consistent with the arrow marked on the water pump, and make corresponding markings.

5. Inspection of the water pump when the pump is separated

A. Remove the upper shell of the water pump and expose the impeller above. B. Rotate the impeller by hand to see if it is flexible. C. Pull the impeller in the direction of the pump shaft to observe the total displacement of the impeller seven times (usually 4-6 millimeters for QJ pumps). D. Install the coupling and motor together to ensure that the motor shaft is tightly aligned with the pump shaft without any gaps. E. The clearance between the up and down displacement of the impeller should be at the middle position of the total displacement (with an allowable deviation of ± 0.5 millimeters). F. When the deviation is greater than 0.5 millimeters, adjust the gasket to the middle position and rotate the impeller flexibly by hand. G. Then drill the top screw hole of the coupling device, tighten the top screw and install the upper shell. H. The coupling device should rotate flexibly once again with a pry bar to ensure it meets the assembly requirements. Then install the filter screen and wire protection box.

6. Deep well submersible pump lowering into the well: Before lowering into the well, use a rope to lift a round wood or steel pipe (with a diameter equal to the outer diameter of the unit) of the same length as the unit to test whether the well pipe is upright. To avoid jamming the unit when going down the well.

7. Cable binding: The cable should be tied to the lifting pipe with insulation tape, not with metal wire.

8. Control and start-up of the unit: Selection of control equipment. Motor power × 1.2-1.4 times=control cabinet power. The control cabinet should have protective measures such as phase loss, overload, overcurrent and short circuit. After the installation in the well is completed, start the machine trial. The startup time should be controlled between 10-25 seconds based on the difference in motor power. The startup time of high-power motors should be relatively long. Check whether the current is overloaded and whether the three-phase current is balanced, and keep records. And provide feedback to the manufacturer as the basis for warranty.

9. Overload, overcurrent, phase loss, short circuit, sensitivity debugging: This step is very important, please install personnel to debug carefully.

A. Overload and overcurrent debugging: Turn the current adjustment knob of the thermal relay slowly towards the direction less than the actual working current, rotating a small scale each time, with an interval of about 2-5 minutes, until the thermal relay acts and the unit stops working. Then rotate the scale in reverse by a small amount.

B. Phase loss sensitivity debugging: Start the unit again and disconnect the fuse tubes of the group knife switches one by one, so that the unit is in a two-phase electrical working state. Observe whether the thermal relay can cut off the control power within 5 seconds.

C. Short circuit test: This step usually relies on the air switch of the power supply system for protection. Generally, on-site testing is not conducted (which is relatively dangerous), and it is required that the power supply system must be equipped with an air switch (the air switch model is selected as DW10 type, and the second type is selected as DZ type). Shanghai Submersible Pump Co., Ltd. is a production-oriented enterprise dedicated to the manufacturing and research of sewage submersible pumps, sewage pumps, deep well pumps, water mixers, pipeline pumps and other submersible series products, as well as complete sets of water supply equipment without negative pressure, pressure stabilization, and pressurization, sewage lifting devices, booster pumps, and vertical multi-stage pumps. The product emphasizes practicality, innovation, environmental protection, economy, and efficiency.
